What is happening?
The Council of the City of Salford has made the following Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 -
CITY OF SALFORD (PERU STREET, BLACKFRIARS & TRINITY) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING AND AMENDMENT) ORDER 2025
The effect of the Order is as follows:
No Waiting at Any Time:
Peru Street: (i) North side, from the westerly projected kerbline of North George Street, for a distance of 83.8m in a westerly direction.
(ii) South side, from the westerly projected kerbline of North George Street, for a distance of 10m in a westerly direction.
The Order was made on 4th November 2025 and will come into effect on 17th November 2025. A copy of the Order and plan are available for inspection at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm.
Anyone wishing to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may within 6 weeks from 4 th November 2025 apply to the High Court for such purpose.
