Public Footpath FP1403131 Ramsbottom - Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic
What is happening?
THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(PUBLIC FOOTPATH FP1403131 RAMSBOTTOM, ROSSENDALE BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Secretary of State for Transport has agreed to the above Order, which was due to expire on the 8th November, 2025, remaining in force until the 8th November, 2026 or until any necessary works are completed within this period. The effect of which is to temporarily prohibit all traffic from proceeding over that length of Public Footpath FP1403131 Ramsbottom, Rossendale Borough, indicated below:-
Part of Public Footpath FP1403131 Ramsbottom, Rossendale, from Point A (SD 7986 2022) in a generally westerly direction for approximately 100 metres to Point B (SD 7976 – 2021).
The temporary closure is necessary because of the likelihood of danger to the public.
Access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the footpath, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, the footpath, will be maintained at all times.
Nothing in the order shall apply to emergency service vehicles or to those undertaking the works.
