What is happening?
(CARLTON FERRY LANE, COLLINGHAM) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF PROCEEDING) ORDER 2025(N25-362)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire
County Council has made an Order, under Section 14(1)
(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in
respect of roads at Collingham in the District of Newark
and Sherwood
The effects of the Order will be:
1. No person shall proceed in the following length of road
a. Carlton Ferry Lane, Collingham - From its junction
with Northcroft Lane, Collingham in a Westerly and
Northerly direction for 3800m
2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily
suspended as required.
3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect
when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above
road or roads will apply as follows:
From 1st November 2025
Until 1st May 2027
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during
the period of restriction the alternative route available will
be:
No diversion route is available
The Order will come into force on 1st November 2025
and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any
subsequent day when necessary while the road is in an
unsafe condition for a maximum of 18 months.
The prohibition is necessary as the floods have washed the
road away
