Bridleway No. 1 (Part) and Public Footpath No. 26 Tatenhill Parish and Public Footpath No. 2 Dunstall Parish - Temporary Closure

What is happening?

STAFFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL 

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – (AS AMENDED) BRIDLEWAY NO. 1 (PART) AND PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 26 TATENHILL PARISH AND PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 2 DUNSTALL PARISH (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Staffordshire County Council intend, on 3/7/25 made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrians from proceeding along the following lengths of Public Rights of Way: – 

Bridleway No. 1 Tatenhill Parish from 200 metres south of Branston Road for approximately 550 metres in a south easterly direction to its junction with Public Footpath No. 24 

– Public Footpath No. 26 Tatenhill Parish from its junction with Bridleway No. 1 Tatenhill Parish for approximately 298 metres in a generally south westerly direction to it’s junction with Public Footpath No. 2. 

– Public Footpath No. 2 Dunstall Parish from its junction with Public Footpath No. 26 Tatenhill Parish for approximately 30 metres in a generally north westerly direction to its junction with Public Footpath No. 24 Dunstall Parish.

The closure is required under the provision of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 Section 14 (1) (b) due to works taking place on the footpath. These are expected to last for two weeks. 

A plan will be displayed on site to show length of paths to be closed. 

This Order came into operation on 7/7/25 and will remain in force for a period of six months or until the risk of danger to the public is over, whichever is the earlier. If necessary, after six months, the Order may be extended for a further period with the approval of the Secretary of State.
