What is happening?

40 Mph Speed Limit, Raikes Lane, Rylstone, Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that The North Yorkshire Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 84(1) & (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 & Part IV of Schedule 9 to the 1984 Act, the effect of which will be to prohibit any motor vehicle from travelling at a speed in excess of 40 mph on any length of road specified below:-
Raikes Lane Rylstone – 40mph Speed Limit Raikes Lane, Rylstone from its junction with Fleets Lane to its junction with B6265. A copy of the draft Order, together with a map showing the roads affected & a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at County Hall, Northallerton & at Skipton Library, 46A High Street, Skipton, BD23 1JX during normal office hours from 15/05/25 until 05/06/25 & also viewed online at www.northyorks.gov.uk/roadworks-map or www.northyorks.gov.uk/traffic-regulation-orders. If you wish to object to the proposed Order, you should send the grounds for your objection, in writing addressed to The North Yorkshire Council, Traffic Management, County Hall, Racecourse Lane, Northallerton, DL7 8AD or by email to Traffic.management@northyorks.gov.uk or via the website link above by 05/06/25.
Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians, Public Footpaths 05.42/24/1 & 05.42/18/1, Thornton In Lonsdale & 05.26/30/1, Ingleton & 05.9/11/1, Burton In Lonsdale, Order 2020 No 334
Notice is hereby given that the above Order, the effect of which is to prohibit any public access along Public Footpaths 05.42/24/1 & 05.42/18/1, Thornton In Lonsdale & 05.26/30/1, Ingleton & 05.9/11/1, Burton In Lonsdale, between grid references SD6887278 & SD67607264, due to erosion resulting in the route not being safe for the Public has been continued in force for a further 12 months until 18/05/26 or until the completion of the works (whichever is the earlier), under Section 15(3) of the above Act with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport. The further continuation of the closure will be put into effect by notices & signs. An alternative route will be signed on site. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, Back Lane to Field Rock Quarry Disused, Otterburn, Order 2025, No. 170
We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using Back Lane to Field Rock Quarry Disused, Otterburn for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 16/06/25 & 04/07/25, due to gabion works. However, the max duration of this Order is from 02/06/25 until 26/09/25. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic, A65 Coniston Cold River Bridge, Order 2025, No. 171
We intend to make this Order to prohibit any vehicle from using A65 Coniston Cold at The River Aire Road bridge for a temporary period of 3 weeks (subject to access to premises) between 02/06/25 & 20/06/25, due to bridge repairs. However, the max duration of this Order is until 02/12/25. The closure period will be indicated by traffic signs & a local alternative route will be signed on site where appropriate.
