Notice is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council as highway authority
for the Borough of Rotherham has made the above-mentioned Order on the
14th. February 2025 and which comes into effect on the 12th. May 2025. Notice of the proposal for making the Order was published in the Rotherham Advertiser on the 8th. February 2024 and is to introduce ‘No Waiting at any Time’ to the part of road specified in the Schedule to this notice.
SCHEDULE
To be introduced Schedule 1 No Waiting at Any Time
Lodge Hill Drive Wales
i. Both sides from the extended northern curb line of Wales Road for a distance of 20m in a northerly direction.
Wales Road Wales
ii. Northern curb line from the extended western curb line of Lodge Hill Drive
for a distance of 20m in a westerly direction.
iii. Northern curb line from the extended eastern curb line of Lodge Hill Drive
for a distance of 20m in a eastly direction.
Manor Road Wales
i. South eastern curb line from the extended northern curb of Wales Road for a distance 124m in a north eastly direction.
ii. North western curb line from the extended northern curb line of School Road for a distance of 105m in a north eastly direction.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or its provisions on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended or that a requirement of that Act or of any relevant regulations made there under has not been complied with in any way, may within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for that purpose to the High Court.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
PART OF STEEL STREET HOLMES ROTHERHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Steel Street from its junction with Holmes Lane for a distance of approximately 50m in a southerly direction on Sunday 18th. May 2025 between midnight and 7.30am. NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for traffic affected by the order.
Reason for the prohibition - because works are being or are proposed to be
executed on or near the road (level crossing maintenance).

May and Friday 15th. August 2025 between 8am and 4pm each day.
NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via Carr Lane, High Hooton Road, Hooton Lane, Main Street and vice versa.
The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Carriageway resurfacing).

May and Friday 15th. August 2025 between 8am and 4pm each day.
NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for traffic affected by
the Order.

than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of
which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Steel
Street from its junction with Holmes Lane for a distance of approximately 210m in a south westerly direction from Monday 19th. May until Friday
30th. May 2025. NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for traffic affected by the order. Access will be maintained for businesses and emergency vehicles.
Reason for the prohibition - because works are being or are proposed to be
executed on or near the road (Installation of new electrical service).

May until Monday 26th. May 2025. NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via B6463 Monksbridge Road, B6060 Monksbridge Road Roundabout, B6060 Outgang Lane, Rotherham Road and Vice Versa.
The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Gas connection works).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Oxford Street from its junction with Davis Street to its junction with Doncaster Road on Thursday 15th. May and Friday 16th. May 2025.
NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via Oxford Street,
Cambridge Street, Middle Lane, Doncaster Road and vice versa.
The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (water supply renewal).

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the eight parts of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice for periods of time between Monday 5th. May and Saturday 14th. June 2025.
NOTICE is further given that the alternative routes for vehicles affected by the
Order will be via local neighbouring streets.
The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the parts of road (installation of traffic calming).
SCHEDULE
(i) Morrell Street from its junction with Blyth Road to its junction with Muglet Lane.
(ii) Carlyle Road, Earl Avenue, Morrell Street Back Road 1, Burns Road, Coleridge Road, Tennyson Road and Muglet Lane Back Road 1 for distances of
approximately 20m in either a northerly or southerly direction.

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Dun Street in any direction other than a southerly direction, from its junction with A6022 Bridge Street to its northern junction with Walker Street from Monday 19th. May until Tuesday 18th. November 2025.
NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the
Order will be via Walker Street, New Station Road and Bridge Street.
The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (New housing development).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the roads specified in the Schedule to this notice on Sunday 18th. May 2025 between 8am and 6pm.
NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the
Order will be via B6089 Packman Road, Hoober Lane and Hoober Field Road.
The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to
be executed on or near the parts of road (Installation of fibre cables for network upgrade).
SCHEDULE
(i) America Lane full length.
(ii) Hoober Field Road from its junction with America Lane for a distance of
approximately 70m in a northerly direction.

PART OF HALSBURY ROAD, PART OF CRANWORTH ROAD EASTWOOD ROTHERHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the five parts of road specified in the Schedule to this notice for short periods of time between Monday 19th. May and Thursday 17th. July 2025. Only one junction will be closed at any one time.
The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads (renewal of gas main along Fitzwilliam Road).
SCHEDULE
(i) St. Johns Road from its junction with Fitzwilliam Road for a distance of
approximately 25m in a southerly direction (the alternative route will be via
local neighbouring streets).
(ii) Fitzwilliam Road service road from its most easterly junction with Fitzwilliam Rd for a distance of approximately 10m in a northerly direction (the alternative route will be via the opposing junction).
(iii) Fitzwilliam Road service road from its most westerly junction with Fitzwilliam Rd for a distance of approximately 10m in a northerly direction (the alternative route will be via the opposing junction).
(iv) Halsbury Road from its junction with Fitzwilliam Road for a distance of
approximately 25m in a southerly direction (the alternative route will be via
local neighbouring streets).
(v) Cranworth Road from its junction with Fitzwilliam Road for a distance of
approximately 25m in a southerly direction (the alternative route will be via
local neighbouring streets).

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the part of road (Electrical substation replacement).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along that part of Public Footpath 3 Orgreave commencing from a point on B6066 Highfield Spring at Grid Reference SK 4155 8731 and proceeding in a south westerly direction for a distance of 70m to a point at Grid Reference SK 4149 8726 from Sunday 11th. May 2025 for a period of six months.
NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for pedestrians will be via signed diversions.
The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath (preparatory earthworks for residential
development).
