Greengate Lane, Temporary Road Closure Due To Bridge Inspection Works

NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) U7062 GREENGATE LANE MELKRIDGE (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U7062 Greengate Lane, Melkridge from its junction with Melkridge Tynedale District Bridleway 017, Melkridge heading northwards for a distance of 20 metres in the County of Northumberland. The Order is to be effective from the 8th May 2025 until the 16th May 2025.

It is expected that the road will only be closed on the 8th May 2025 between the hours of 10:00 & 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 16th May 2025.

There will be no alternative route available for the duration of the TTRO.

The closure has been requested by Centurion Traffic Management to carry out a bridge inspection.

In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of the Order.
