ROTHERHAM METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF DOCTOR LANE HARTHILL SHEFFIELD

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Doctor Lane from a point 5m east of its junction with The Hop Inge for a distance of 20m in an easterly direction from Tuesday 6th May until Friday 9th May 2025 between the hours of 8am and 5pm each day.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative routes for vehicles affected will be via Doctor Lane, Union Street, Serlby Lane and Vice Versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the part of road (Installation of electrical apparatus).

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Bib Lane from its junction with Carr Lane to its junction with Main Street on three occasions between Monday 12th. May and Friday 15th. August 2025 between 8am and 4pm each day.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via Carr Lane, High Hooton Road, Hooton Lane, Main Street and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Carriageway resurfacing).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Ulley Lane from its junction with A618 Pleasley Road to its junction with Main Street for a maximum of three hours on three occasions between Sunday 11th. May and Friday 15th. August 2025 between 8am and 4pm each day.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via A618 Pleasley Road, Reservoir Road and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (carriageway surface dressing).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Waleswood Lane from its junction with A618 Mansfield Road for a distance of approximately 735m in a westerly direction for a maximum of three hours on three occasions between Sunday 11th. May and Friday 15th. August 2025 between 8am and 4pm each day.

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for traffic affected by  the Order.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Carriageway surface dressing).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles proceeding along that part of Brookhouse Lane from its junction with Rose Lane to its junction with Rotherham Lane for a maximum of three hours on three occasions between Sunday 11th. May and Friday 15th. August 2025 between 8am and 4pm each day.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via Rose Lane, Rotherham Lane and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Carriageway surface dressing).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF TURNSHAW ROAD ULLEY ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Turnshaw Road from a point approximately 450m north of its junction with Ulley Lane for a distance of approximately 30m in a northerly direction from Wednesday 7th of May until Friday the 9th of May 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm each day.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via Main Street, Ulley Lane, Aston Lane, Aughton Lane, Ulley Lane, Aston and vice versa. The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Renewal of telecommunications chamber).

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)

PART OF THRYBERGH LANE AND

PART OF SCHOOL LANE THRYBERGH ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the two parts of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice from Tuesday 6th. May until Thursday 8th. May 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via Back Lane, Doncaster Road, Ravenfield Lane and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the two parts of road (Telecom works).

SCHEDULE

(i)    Thrybergh Lane from its junction with Back Lane for a distance of approximately 500m in an eastrly direction.

(ii)   School Lane from its junction with Back Lane to its junction with Thrybergh Lane.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) AND 14(7)

PART OF A630 DONCASTER ROAD HOOTON ROBERTS ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY 30 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT RESTRICTION)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily suspend part of The Rotherham Borough Council (Various Roads, Rotherham) (Speed Limits and Speed Derestriction) (Consolidation) Order 2004 and reduce the speed limit from 50 miles hour and 40 miles per hour respectively to  30 miles per hour for motor vehicles travelling along that part of A630 Doncaster Road, Hooton Roberts from the boundary with Doncaster City Council near Hill Top for a distance of approximately 2151m in a westerly direction on the Hooton Roberts and Thrybergh boundary from Monday 5th. May until Friday 16th. May 2025. The reason for the speed limit order is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Safety of site personnel whilst replacing street lighting columns).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Ulley Lane from a point approximately 268m north of its junction with Aughton Lane for a distance of approximately 300m in a north westerly direction on Tuesday 6th. May 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via Aughton Lane, Aston Lane, Main Street and vice versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Telecom works).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Rotherham Road from its junction from its junction with Monksbridge Road to its junction with Park Lane from Thursday 15th. May until Monday 26th. May 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via B6463 Monksbridge Road, B6060 Monksbridge Road Roundabout, B6060 Outgang Lane, Rotherham Road and Vice Versa.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Gas connection works).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Oxford Street from its junction with Davis Street to its junction with Doncaster Road on Thursday  15th. May and Friday 16th. May 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via Oxford Street, Cambridge Street, Middle Lane, Doncaster Road and vice versa. The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (water supply renewal).

May until Friday 30th. May 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative routes for vehicles affected will be via Main Street, New York Way, Loverose Way and Don Street.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the part of road (Electrical substation replacement).

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along that part of Public Footpath 3 Orgreave commencing from a point on B6066 Highfield Spring at Grid Reference SK 4155 8731 and proceeding in a south westerly direction for a distance of 70m to a point at Grid Reference SK 4149 8726 from Sunday 11th. May 2025 for a period of six months.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for pedestrians will be via signed diversions.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to  be executed on or near the footpath (preparatory earthworks for residential development).

VARIOUS ROADS AT MALTBY ROTHERHAM

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the eight parts of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice for periods of time between Monday 5th. May and Saturday 14th. June 2025.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative routes for vehicles affected by the Order will be via local neighbouring streets.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the parts of road (installation of traffic calming).

SCHEDULE

(i)    Morrell Street from its junction with Blyth Road to its junction with Muglet Lane.

(ii)   Carlyle Road, Earl Avenue, Morrell Street Back Road 1, Burns Road, Coleridge Road, Tennyson Road and Muglet Lane Back Road 1 for distances of approximately 20m in either a northerly or southerly direction.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via Bridge Street, Walker Street and vice versa. The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (electrical connection works).

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along that part of Public Footpath No.18 Maltby commencing from its junction with Glencairn Close and proceeding in a northerly direction for a distance of approximately 750m to a point at Grid Reference SK 5397 9270 from Tuesday 6th. May 2025 for a period of up to six months.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route will be via a continuation of Public Footpath 18 Maltby and Public Footpath 2 Maltby.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath (Public safety and site security during ongoing site works).
