THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY

(UNDEFINED FOOTPATH OFF KEMP HEATON AVENUE, BURY)

TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any members of the public (including pedestrians, cyclists and horses) from proceeding along:-

Undefined Footpath off Kemp Heaton Avenue, Bury – between Kemp Heaton Avenue & Public Right of Way 68BUR.

The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate the development of the area for residential use.

The alternative route will be via Bridges Avenue, Tennyson Avenue, Scott Avenue, r/o Nos.44-84 Tennyson Avenue & Public Right of Way 68BUR & vice-versa.

The proposed Order will come into operation on Tuesday 22/04/25 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 6 months (although an extension will be required).
