What is happening?
PUBLIC NOTICE
THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL
(POWELL STREET) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from
proceeding on Powell Street in both directions from side of properties 201-207 to rear of properties 48-53 Provence Close.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken between the hours of 20:00 and 06:00
from 21 April 2025 until 26 April 2025, and again from 28 April 2025 until 3 May 2025.
The diversion routes are: Clockwise Vehicular diversion route: Cannock Road, Victoria Road, Bushbury Road, Church Road, Wednesfield Way and
Tudor Road. Anti-Clockwise Vehicular diversion route: Tudor Road, Church Road, Bushbury Road, Victoria Road and Cannock Road.
The Order is required to facilitate boundary fencing renewal by Network Rail.
