C103 Acklington Junction to Morwick Road - Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

C103 ACKLINGTON JUNCTION TO MORWICK ROAD ACKLINGTON
(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order which will temporarily close the following sections of road and to temporarily restrict the speed of all vehicular traffic on the following sections of road in Acklington in the County of Northumberland:-
Road Closure:
C103 Acklington Junction to Morwick Road Acklington from its junction with the C104 heading in a north easterly direction for a length of 1730 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 28th April 2025 until the 27th October 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed on the following dates during this period:
28th April 2025 until the 9th May 2025 between 07:30 hours and 17:00 hours.
12th May 2025 until the 16th May 2025 between 07:30 hours and 17:00.
The Order will however remain in place until the 27th October 2025.
Speed Restriction: 60mph down to 40mph
C103 Acklington Junction to Morwick Road Acklington from its junction with the C104 heading in a north easterly direction for a length of 1730 metres in the County of Northumberland.
There will be a speed restriction in force which will restrict the speed of vehicular traffic from 60mph down to 40mph from the 12th May 2025 until the 16th May 2025 between the 17:00 hours and 07:30 hours.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being C103, C104, C105, B6345 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The road closure and the speed restriction have been requested by Northumberland County Council to carry out civils, drainage and resurfacing works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
