What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Colchester Road, Wix) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Colchester Road, Wix in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Honeypot Lane to its junction with Stones Green Road a distance of approximately 1700m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th April 2025 for 5 days or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH342752EB+K328472295 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while gulley replacement and signing works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Honeypot Lane, Colchester Road, Wix Road – Stones Green – Z21c, Colchester Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 14th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Gordon Road, Dovercourt) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Gordon Road, Dovercourt in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Hall Lane to its junction with Wick Lane a distance of approximately 470m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th April 2025 for 5 days or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH35276550 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Wick Lane, Hall Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 28th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Rigby Avenue, Mistley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Rigby Avenue, Mistley in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Harwich Road to its junction with Middlefield Road a distance of approximately 122m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th April 2025 for 3 days or where stated on a valid permit (X0430014061CAM002P21GRN – Gigaclear). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Gigaclear.

An alternative route is available via Harwich Road, Middlefield Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 28th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Main Road, Wix) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Main Road, Wix in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Clacton Road to its junction with A120 a distance of approximately 650m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th March 2025 for 3 days or where stated on a valid permit (X0430014061CAM002P2GRN – Gigaclear). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Gigaclear.

An alternative route is available via A120, A120R, B1352 Road, Ramsey Roundabout, Primrose Hill, Wix Road, Harwich Road, Station Road, Spinnels Hill, Harwich Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 14th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Rectory Road, Great Oakley/Little Oakley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Rectory Road, Great Oakley/ Little Oakley in the District of Tendring, from a point of approximately 225m south east of the junction with Hill Road to a distance of approximately 25m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th April 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP20146311544 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while road repairs and patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Rectory Road, Clacton Road, Harwich Road, Sparrows Corner, The Soils and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 14th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(South Street, Manningtree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of South Street, Manningtree in the District of Tendring, from its junction with High Street to its junction with Short Street a distance of approximately 53m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 31st March 2025 for 5 days or where stated on a valid permit (EP2023ST012128 – Bakers of Danbury). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while conservation works are undertaken by Bakers of Danbury.

An alternative route is available via Short Street, Brook Street, Station Road, High Street and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 14th March 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
