Powerscourt Road - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?

Portsmouth City Council (Powerscourt Road and Clydebank Road ) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.55) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council intends to make the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 31st March 2025 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
POWERSCOURT ROAD
From its junction with Kingston Road to rear of No.175 Kingston Road.
CLYDEBANK ROAD
From its junction with Kingston Road to side of No.198 Kingston Road.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate water works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 20:00 on 31st March 2025 to 06:00 on 1st April 2025 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from Powerscourt Road, Pink Road, Queens Road and Clydebank Road, Gamble Road, Stirling Street.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
