Abbott Road, Birchwood Road - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
ABBOTT ROAD & BRICHWOOD ROAD, ALFRETON
WHEN: 31 March to 04 April 2025.
WHERE: Abbott Road, Alfreton between its jct. with Flowery Leys Lane and its jct. with Abbott Road (A38 Slip Road). Birchwood Road, Alfreton from its jct. with Abbott Road for 160m to the cul de sac also known as Birchwood Road.
REASON: To facilitate carriageway resurfacing.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Flowery Leys Lane, Nottingham Road, Abbott Road, and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will re-open as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190. The County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
