NOTICE OF DEDICATION
PUBLIC PATH CREATION AGREEMENT
FOR THE CREATION OF THREE PUBLIC FOOTPATHS AT MIDDLE PEAK QUARRY, PARISH OF WIRKSWIRTH, DERBYSHIRE.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that by an agreement dated 05 February 2025 between Derbyshire County Council and Tarmac Trading Ltd under Section 25 of the Highways Act 1980 the following rights of way have been dedicated on land at Middle Peak Quarry in the Parish of Wirksworth as shown on the plan attached to the agreement and described as follows:
A Public Footpath surfaced with stone and grass with a width of 2 metres, from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (“GR”) SK 2785 5517 in southerly then westerly direction for approximately 15 metres to GR SK 2784 5517.
A Public Footpath surfaced with stone and grass with a width of 2 metres from GR SK 2784 5517 in a south south-westerly then southerly then south-westerly then westerly direction for approximately 674 metres to join Footpath No. 65 at GR SK 2754 5462.
A Public Footpath surfaced with stone with a width varying between 2.0 metres and 3.5 metres from GR SK 2771 5440 in an easterly then east south-easterly then north-easterly then south-easterly then east south-easterly direction for approximately 492 metres to join the public highway known as Green Hill at GR SK 2811 5435. The total distance is 1181 metres or thereabouts.
Under section 25, there is no right of objection, and the Agreement has taken immediate effect.
