This Order will enable Kiely Bros to carry out cycleway works, surface dressing, application of Kiely Lock, and associated works such as stud removal/renewal and lining works on behalf of Somerset Highways. The Order becomes effective on 25th March 2025 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The phased works are expected to commence any time after 14th April 2025. The phased works will be for ONE DAY within the stated period, and the road will be reopened when no works are taking place.

The works are phased, and there may be a need for additional closures at a later date. Notifications will be sent for these. Please visit www.one.network for further information on the alternative route.

Please note that should you require to view a closure which is more than two weeks ahead, you will need to register for free on One.Network. The works promoter will contact residents and businesses directly to discuss access arrangements. Advanced warning signs will be installed 10 days prior to the commencement of works for each closure.

For information about the works being carried out, please contact Kiely on 0121 772 3809 and quote the reference number SM10/425 – SD001001.

Duncan Sharkey, Chief Executive

Dated: 17th March 2025

Statement of Reasons for making the Order
