What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A137 CHANCERY ROAD AND WEST END ROAD, IPSWICH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads:

  • A137 Chancery Road, Ipswich from Princes Street to West End Road
  • A137 West End Road, Ipswich from Chancery Road for 127 metres westbound.

This is to facilitate crowd control during a football match. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Burrell Road, Stoke Street, Bridge Street, Greyfriars Road, Franciscan Way, Civic Drive, Handford Road, Ranelagh Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 22/02/2025 from 1pm - 7pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C486 CREETING ROAD WEST, STOWMARKET

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C486 Creeting Road West, Stowmarket from 170 metres northwest of Navigation Approach for 33 metres north westbound to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Navigation Approach, Gipping Way, Station Road East, Stowupland Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 22/02/2025 - 23/02/2025, but if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U6500 FITZROY STREET, NEWMARKET

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U6500 Fitzroy Street, Newmarket from the junction with Lowther Street for 30 metres south westbound to facilitate excavation and repairs to a manhole. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Fitzroy Street, Rowley Drive, Black Bear Lane, Fitzroy Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 05/03/2025 from 8am - 5pm, but if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U8127 CHURCH HILL, MONKS ELEIGH

Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U8127 Church Hill, Monks Eleigh from the junction with The Street for 80 metres northbound to facilitate pole and cable maintenance. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Church Hill, Dark Lane, Highlands Road, the B1115, the A1141 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 24/02/2025 - 25/02/2025 from 9.30am - 4pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
