What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
PART OF BRIDGEGATE, HOWDEN
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along part of Bridgegate, Howden from its junction with Station Road to property no: 10 Bridgegate commencing 17 February 2025 from 08.00 hours until 20.00 hours 19 February 2025 for the purpose of “renewal of lead supply” work.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within three days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road
closure will be via: B1230 Bridgegate, B1230 Flatgate, B1230 Hull Road, A614 Boothferry Road,
A63 Knedlington Road, A63 Booth Ferry Road,
A63 Barnhill Lane, B1230 Selby Road, B1230 Northolmby Street.., Wressle CP, Barlby with
Osgodby CP, Bubwith CP, Howden CP,
North Duffield CP, Hemingbrough CP, Riccall CP, Cliffe CP, Howdenshire Ward, Howden Ward.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed to all through traffic, but access will be maintained at all time for residents, emergency services and pedestrians.
