What is happening?

PROHIBITION OF DRIVING)
ORDER NO. 2 2024
The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead intends, not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to:
Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of the A330 Ascot Road A330 Ascot Road from its junction with Holyport Street to its junction with Bartletts Lane.
The alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via A330 Ascot Road, A330 Kingscroft Lane, A330 Cocks Lane, A330 Maidens Green, A330 Church Road, A330 Pidgeonhouse Lane, A330 Lovel Road, A330 Hatchet Lane,A330 Winkfield Road, A332 Windsor Road, A332 Peanut Roundabout, A332 Sheet Street Road, A332 Kings Road, A308 Osborne Road, A308 Frances Road, A308 Alma Road, A308 Goslar Way, A332 Royal Windsor Way off slip, A308 Maidenhead Road, A308 Windsor Road, A308 Braywick Roundabout and A330 Ascot Road.
The purpose of the proposed Order is to facilitate works on the highway, namely Holyport Culvert replacement and as a result there is the likelihood of danger to the public.
The proposed Order shall come into operation
from 20:00 hours on Friday 6 December until
06:00 hours on Monday 9 December 2024.
There will be a prohibition of driving when signs as prescribed by the Traffic Sign Regulations and General Directions 2016 are in place to indicate the said restrictions.
