Cambridgeshire - Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Works.
What is happening?
CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after seven days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:
New River Bank, Branch Bank, Littleport and Padnal Bank, Queen Adelaide
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-781
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along New River Bank, Branch Bank, Littleport and Padnal Bank, Queen Adelaide as lies between the A10 and the B1382.
The alternative route for vehicles is via New River Bank - A10 - A1101 - B1382 - Padnal Bank, Queen Adelaide and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway resurfacing and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 14 October 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 13 April 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 14 October and 25 November 2024.
Sun Street, Isleham
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1387
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Sun Street, Isleham as lies between Sparkes Close and Bowers Lane.
The alternative route for vehicles is via East Road - The Causeway - Sun Street and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 22 October 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 21 April 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 22 October and 26 October 2024.
Chewells Lane, Haddenham
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1392
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Chewells Lane, Haddenham as lies between Allotment Gardens and Paddock Way.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 4 November 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 3 May 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 4 November and 18 November 2024.
Ely Footpath 11, Ely
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2024-1433
Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Ely Footpath 11, Ely as lies between 10m either side of the pedestrian crossing.
The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 4 October 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 3 April 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 4 October and 6 October 2024.
Redfen Road, Little Thetford
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1455
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Redfen Road, Little Thetford as lies between the junctions of the A10.
The alternative route for vehicles is via A10 - Redfen Road.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate drainage and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 1 October 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 31 March 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 20:00hrs and 06:00hrs 1 October
to 21 October 2024.
Lynn Road (A10), Littleport
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1483
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Lynn Road (A10), Littleport as lies between New River Bank and Ferry Bank.
The alternative route for vehicles is via A10 -A1122 - A1101 - A10 and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway resurfacing and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 26 September 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 25 March 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 20:00hrs and 06:00hrs 26 September to 1 November 2024.
Access will be maintained to properties affected by these orders.
The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
