Thanet, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

ANVIL CLOSE, BIRCHINGTON, CT7 9AF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Anvil Close, Birchington, on or after 26th September 2024 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction with B2050 Park Lane, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

FAIR STREET, BROADSTAIRS, CT10 2JN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Fair Street, Broadstairs, on or after 7th October 2024 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Little House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Fair Street, Wilkes Road, Bromstone Road, Fairfield Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

PROSPECT ROAD, MINSTER, CT12 4EG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Prospect Road, Minster, on or after 7th October 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Augustine Road and Monkton Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Prospect Road, Augustine Road, Freemans Road, Monkton Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

QUEEN BERTHAS AVENUE, BIRCHINGTON, CT7 9BG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURN) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow CCTV works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Queen Berthas Avenue, Birchington, on or after 23rd September 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The restrictions will be imposed between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00 only.

Queen Berthas Avenue will be closed at the junction of A28 Canterbury Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

A prohibition of right turn will be imposed on A28 Canterbury Road, at the junction of Queen Berthas Avenue, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Queen Berthas Avenue, A28 Canterbury Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

WAY HILL, RAMSGATE, CT12 4HS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Way Hill, Ramsgate, on or after 23rd September 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction of Ivy Cottage Hill, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Way Hill, Thorne Hill, Grinsell Hill and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

VARIOUS ROADS, BIRCHINGTON, CT7 0NE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow road marking works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Various Roads, Birchington, on or after 25th September 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

Closures will be between the hours of 22:00 and 05:00 only.

A28 Canterbury Road will be closed, from A299 St Nicholas Roundabout to the junction of Seamark Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

A299 St Nicholas Roundabout will be closed the entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

A299 Thanet Way will be closed from A299 St Nicholas Roundabout to A299 Monkton Roundabout, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

A28 Canterbury Road will be closed from A299 St Nicholas Roundabout to the junction of The Length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

A299 Thanet Way will be closed from A299 St Nicholas Roundabout to the junction of Chambers Wall, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via A28 Canterbury Road, A28 The Square, A28 Canterbury Road, B2052 George V Avenue, B2052 Hartsdown Road, Tivoli Road, Beatrice Road, A254 Ramsgate Road, A254 Margate Road, A256 Haine Road, A256 New Haine Road, A256 Haine Road, A256 Canterbury Road West, A299 Hengist Way, A299 Canterbury Road West, A299 Monkton Roundabout, A253 Canterbury Road, Orchard Lane, Manor Road, The Street, Court Road and Potten Street Road.

The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via A299 Thanet Way, A291 Canterbury Road, A291 Herne Street, A291 Canterbury Road, A291 Calcott Hill, A291 Herne Bay Road, A291 Sturry Hill, A28 Island Road, A28 Staines Hill, A28 Island Road, A28 Canterbury Road, A253 Ramsgate Road and A253 Canterbury Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

VARIOUS ROADS, BROADSTAIRS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Various Roads, Broadstairs, on or after 7th October 2024 until the works have been completed.

Phase 1 - West Cliff Road will be closed from 7th October 2024, with estimated completion by 22nd November 2024. The closure will be between the junctions of Dumpton Park Drive and Western Esplanade, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.The alternative route for any through traffic is via West Cliff Road, Dumpton Park Drive, Seapoint Road, Western Esplanade and vice versa.

Phase 2 - Western Esplanade will be closed from 4th November 2024, with estimated completion by 29th November 2024. The closure will be between the junctions of West Cliff Road and Seapoint Drive, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.The alternative route for any through traffic is via West Cliff Road, Dumpton Park Drive, Seapoint Road and vice versa.

Phase 3 - Linden Avenue will be closed from 2nd January 2025, with estimated completion by 14th February 2025. The closure will be between the junctions of Crow Hill and Dalmaney Close, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.The alternative route for any through traffic is via Linden Avenue, Crow Hill and vice versa.

Phase 4 - Kings Avenue will be closed from 3rd February 2025, with estimated completion by 21st February 2025. The closure will be from outside number 23 to the junction of Knights Avenue, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.The alternative route for any through traffic is via Kings Avenue, Crow Hill, B2052 Stone Road, Bishops Avenue and vice versa.

Phase 5 - Knights Avenue will be closed from 3rd February 2025, with estimated completion by 7th March 2025. The closure will be between the junctions of Kings Avenue and B2052 Stone Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.The alternative route for any through traffic is via Kings Avenue, Crow Hill, B2052 Stone Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
