Folkestone and Hythe, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

 FOLKESTONE & HYTHE AREA

A20 BARROW HILL & A20 MAIN ROAD, SELLINDGE, TN25 6JB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow bridge works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A20 Barrow Hill & A20 Main Road, Sellindge, on or after 30th September 2024 for up to 8 hours or until the works have been completed.

Closures will be between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 only.

A20 Barrow Hill will be closed at the railway bridge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

A20 Main Road at the railway bridge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Westbound through traffic is via A20 Barrow Hill, A20 Ashford Road, A261 Hythe Road, A261 London Road, A259 Military Road, A259 Red Lion Square, A259 Dymchurch Road, A259 Hythe Road, A259 High Street, A259 Dymchurch Road, A259 High Street, A259 Lydd Road, A259 Rhee Wall, A2070 Rhee Wall To Ashford Road, A2070 From Ashford Road To District Boundary, A2070 Ashford Road, A2070 Hamstreet Bypass, A2070 Bad Munstereifel Slip East Bound On, A2070 Bad Munstereifel Road, A20 Hythe Road and A20 Main Road.

The alternative route for any Eastbound through traffic is via A20 Main Road, A20 Hythe Road, A2070 Bad Munstereifel Road, A2070 Bad Munstereifel Slip West Bound Off, A2070 Hamstreet Bypass, A2070 Ashford Road, A2070 From Ashford Road To District Boundary, A2070 Rhee Wall To Ashford Road, A259 Rhee Wall, A259 Lydd Road, A259 High Street, A259 Dymchurch Road, A259 High Street, A259 Hythe Road, A259 Dymchurch Road, A259 Scanlons Bridge, A261 London Road, A261 Hythe Road, A20 Ashford Road and A20 Barrow Hill.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

A260 DOVER ROAD, FOLKESTONE, CT19 5NJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow bridge works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A260 Dover Road, Folkestone, on or after 2nd October 2024 for up to 8 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the railway bridge, between the hours of 22:00 and 06:00, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via A260 Dover Road, A260 Hill Road, A260 Hill Road Dual Carriageway, A259 Canterbury Road, A259 Black Bull Road, A259 Radnor Park Road, A259 Cheriton Road, A2304 Cheriton Road, A2033 Middelburg Square, Foresters Way, A2033 Grace Hill, A2033 New Street, A2033 Bradstone Road and A2033 Dover Road.

The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via A2033 Dover Road, Harbour Way, Radnor Bridge Road, Ryland Place, A260 The Tram Road, A2033 Harbour Street, A2033 Tontine Street, A2033 Dover Road, A2033 Grace Hill, A2033 Shellons Street, A2033 Middelburg Square, A2034 Cheriton Gardens, A2034 Shorncliffe Road, A259 Castle Hill Avenue, A259 Cheriton Road, A259 Radnor Park Road, A259 Black Bull Road, A259 Canterbury Road, A260 Hill Road Dual Carriageway, A260 Hill Road and A260 Dover Road.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

B2080 RHEE WALL ROAD, SNARGATE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B2080 Rhee Wall Road, Snargate, on or after 16th September 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Arrowhead Bungalow, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via B2080 Station Road, B2080 The Street, B2080 Tenterden Road, B2080 Reading Street, B2080 Appledore Road, B2067 Woodchurch Road, B2067 Brook Street, B2067 Kenardington Road, B2067 Warehorne Road, B2067 Kenardington Road, B2067 Warehorne Road, Ashford Road, A2070 Ashford Road Junction With Bypass Link Road To Hamstreet, A2070 Hamstreet Bypass, A2070 Ashford Road, A2070 From Ashford Road To District Boundary, A2070 Rhee Wall To Ashford Road, B2080 Rhee Wall, B2080 Rhee Wall Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

C564 FROM LYMPNE TOWN BOUNDARY TO A261 LONDON ROAD & ALDINGTON ROAD, PEDLINGE, CT21 4JJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of C564 From Lympne Town Boundary To A261 London Road & Aldington Road, Pedlinge, on or after 18th September 2024 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.

The closures will be between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only.

C564 From Lympne Town Boundary To A261 London Road will be closed between the junctions of Aldington Road and A261 Hythe Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Aldington Road will be closed between the junctions of C564 From Lympne Town Boundary To A261 London Road and Lympne Hill, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A261 Hythe Road, Stone Street, Aldington Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

FROM ST MARYS ROAD TO NEWCHURCH LANE, NEWCHURCH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of From St Marys Road To Newchurch Lane, Newchurch, on or after 19th September 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed opposite The Street, between the hours of 09:30 and 14:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via From St Marys Road To Newchurch Lane, St Marys Road, Lane From Junction With Turnagate Cottage To Hope Lane, Hope All Saints, Ashford Road, Newchurch Lane, From Newchurch To Junction With Newchurch Road Bilsington And Hony Wood Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

GILLMAN CLOSE, HAWKINGE, CT18 7EF (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Gillman Close, Hawkinge, on or after 30th September 2024 for up to 12 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from number 6 to number 23, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

REECE LANE, SWINGFIELD, CT15 7HR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Reece Lane, Swingfield, on or after 19th September 2024 for up to 6 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of A260 Canterbury Road to the entrance of Owl Cottage, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Reece Lane, Ladwood, Forge Hill, Hoad Road, A260 Canterbury Road and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

WEAR BAY CRESCENT, FOLKESTONE, CT19 6BN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Wear Bay Crescent, Folkestone, on or after 30th September 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Wear Bay Road and Segrave Road, between the hours of 23:00 and 06:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Wear Bay Road, Foreland Avenue, Warren Road, Wear Bay Crescent and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
