What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U7058 LADYS GREEN. CHAPEL ROAD AND BAXTERS GREEN, OUSDEN AND WICKHAMBROOK

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads to facilitate carriageway patching:

  • the U7058 Ladys Green, Ousden from the junction with Bury Road, Ousden to the junction with Chapel Road, Ousden
  • the 117058 Chapel Road, Ousden
  • the U7058 Baxters Green, Wickhambrook from Chapel Road to Ousden Road.

Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists. The diversion route will be Genesis Green, Wickhambrook, Lords Lane, Front Street, Bury Road, Ousden and vice versa. It is intended that the closure will operate from 24/07/2024 -26/07/2024 from 8am until 4pm with a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Suffolk Highways. Tel: 0345 606 6171.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C446 STONE STREET, CROWFIELD

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C446 Stone Street, Crowfield from the junction with Thompsons Meadow at the Village Hall for 130 metres south westbound to facilitate a repair to a defect following a new sewer connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be B1078, Stonewell Hill, Ipswich Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 24/07/2024 -25/07/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Frontline Traffic Solutions. Tel: 0800 009 6305.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE F3135 ROMAN WAY AND FOOTPATH 9, FELIXSTOWE

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the:

  • F3135 Roman Way, Felixstowe from no. 39 to footpath 9
  • Footpath 9, Felixstowe from the junction with Western Avenue to the junction with Roman Way.

This is to facilitate gas main replacement. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Roman way, Western Avenue, Roman Way, Barons Close, Footpath 9 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 24/07/2024 - 07/08/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Core Highways Ltd. Tel: 0330 043 3030.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1077 MOW HILL, WITNESHAM

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the B1077 Mow Hill, Witnesham from no. 1 Chestnut Rise for 50 metres northbound to facilitate duct laying. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1077, the B1078, the B1079, the A12, the B1077 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 24/07/2024 - 26/07/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Sunbelt Rentals. Tel: 0370 050 0792.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2416 BUCKLESWOOD ROAD, LEISTON

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U2416 Buckleswood Road, Leiston from 450 metres south of the junction with Abbey Lane for 350 metres southbound to facilitate survey works relating to the level crossing upgrade. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Buckleswood Lane, the B1122, the B1119 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate the following phases:

  • 24/07/2024-25/07/2024
  • 09/09/2024 -16/09/2024.

If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C317 PYTCHES ROAD, WOODBRIDGE

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C317 Pytches Road, Woodbridge from the junction with Melton Hill to the junction with North Hill to facilitate fibre installation. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open tor pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Bredfield Road, the A1152, the B1428 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 24/07/2024 -13/08/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to ABC Telecoms Ltd. Tel: 07498 904219.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE F8363 CHEPSTOW ROAD FOOTWAY, BURY ST EDMUNDS

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the F8363 Chepstow Road Footway, Bury St Edmunds from no. 16 for 15 metres south eastbound to facilitate a water cover and frame renewal. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

The diversion route will be Sherboume Road Footway, Kirkstead Road Footway and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 24/07/2024 -26/07/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to TBF Traffic. Tel: (01449) 490865.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3625 CUMBERLAND STREET, WOODBRIDGE

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U3625 Cumberiand Street, Woodbridge from the junction with the B1438 Ipswich Road to the junction with the B1079 Quay Street to facilitate fibre ducting installation. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists. The diversion route will be Quay Street, Station Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 24/07/2024 - 12/08/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to ABC Telecoms Ltd. Tel: 07498 904219.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1077 VARIOUS ROADS, WESTERFIELD AND WITNESHAM

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:

1. the B1077 WesterHeld Road, Westerdeld from Cockfield Hall Lane to Rose Hill

2. the B1077 Rose Hill, Witnesham 3.the B1077 Ipswich Road, Witnesham from Rose Hill to

Stragglers Lane.

This to facilitate carriageway patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1077, the A1214, the A12, the B1079, the B1078, the B1077 and vice versa. It is intended that the closure will operate from 24/07/2024 -27/07/2024 from 7pm - 5am but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
