(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
HUNDENS LANE AND RIDSDALE STREET, DARLINGTON
Darlington Borough Council Intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an Order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to close:
HUNDENS LANE
From its junction with Yarm Road northwards to the south side of Dinsdale Crescent junction.
An alternative route will be signed via Haughton Road, Tornado Way, McMullen Road, Yarm Road and vice versa.
RIDSDALE STREET
From its junction with Yarm Road southwards to the north side of its junction with Yarm Road and Lawrence Street Back Street.
An alternative route will be signed via Eastbourne Road, Neasham Road, Yarm Road and vice versa.
The Order is necessary to allow works by Northern Gas Network to replace a gas main.
The maximum duration of the temporary closure under this Order is 18 months commencing
from 10th August 2024, it is anticipated that the closure will be effective for 4 weeks.
