What is happening?

THE LEICESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(MARKET PLACE KEGWORTH) (DISTRICT OF NORTH WEST LEICESTERSHIRE) (ONE-WAY SYSTEM) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council has made an Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1), 2(2), 4 and 5 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, the effect of which will be to introduce: A One-Way System from a point 27 metres northwest of its junction with London Road, Kegworth to a point 46 metres from its junction with London Road, Kegworth.

The Order will come into force on the twenty-ninth day of April 2024.

A copy of the Order and the relevant map is available for public inspection at County Hall, Glenfield, Leicester LE3 8RA.

The Order can also be viewed online at https://www.leicestershire.gov.uk/roads-and-travel/cars-and-parking/traffic-management-consultations from 26th April 2024.

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within 6 weeks from the date of this Notice, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

(VARIOUS ROADS, THE DISTRICT OF NORTH WEST LEICESTERSHIRE) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2022 (DERBY ROAD, LONDON ROAD, MARKET PLACE, NOTTINGHAM ROAD & WHATTON ROAD KEGWORTH) (AMENDMENT 8) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council has made an Order under Sections 1, 2, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, the effect of which will be to introduce:

Proposed No Waiting/No Loading at Any Time on parts of London Road and Market Place, Kegworth.

Proposed No Waiting at Any Time on parts of Church Gate, London Road, Market Place and Whatton Road, Kegworth.

Proposed Limited Waiting 1 hour no return within 1 hour Mon-Sat 8am-6pm on parts of Market Place, Kegworth.

Proposed Mandatory Disabled Persons’ Parking Bays – Mon-Sat – 8am-6pm on parts of Market Place, Kegworth.

Proposed Limited Waiting 2 hours no return within 1 hour Mon-Sat – 8am-6pm on parts of Market Place, Kegworth.

Proposed Limited Waiting 2 hours no return within 1 hour Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm on parts of Derby Road and London Road, Kegworth.

Unrestricted Parking Bays on parts of Nottingham Road, Kegworth.

The Order will come into force on the twenty-ninth day of April 2024.
