Gillbent Road - Prohibition Of Driving Replace A Manhole Frame & Cover
What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT
(GILLBENT ROAD, CHEADLE HULME) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) NOTICE 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport proposes to make an Order not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 the effect of which will be to introduce a Temporary Prohibition of Driving at Gillbent Road, between the junctions of Pingate Lane and Arundel Road whilst traffic signs to that effect are in place on or near the said roads.
This Order is necessary because works to replace a manhole frame and cover being, or are proposed to be executed.
It is anticipated that the maximum duration of the works will be 1 day.
Alternative routes will be provided via :- Grove Lane, Acre Lane, Moss Lane, Ack Lane East, Ack Lane West, Church Road and vice versa.
This Order is to come into operation on the 4 April 2024 and will have effect for eighteen months, provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Ref: ZLA/2545515.
