What is happening?

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WAKEFIELD
(TRAFFIC REGULATION) (NO 1) ORDER 2024 STANLEY FERRY BRIDGE
(W65), FERRY LANE, STANLEY
The Council of the City of Wakefield propose to make the above order under their powers in the Road Traffic Act 1984, the effect of which, in
relation to Stanley Ferry Bridge, Ferry Lane, Stanley will be to introduce a 26 tonne (maximum gross weight) weight restriction on the full length
of Stanley Ferry Bridge. Previously advertised in April 2023 to be an 18 tonnes weight limit, however this is now to be 26 tonnes.
If you wish to examine the proposed Order you can view a copy on the website www.wakefield.gov.uk/tro . It does include copies of plans
showing the proposed changes to the roads as well as a Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order. If you have any queries regarding the order, please email trafficregs@wakefield.gov.uk .
If you wish to object to the proposed Order, you should send the grounds for your objection in writing or by e mail to trafficregs@wakefield.gov.

(SPEED LIMIT) (NO.3) (EXPERIMENTAL)
ORDER 2023 20MPH SPEED LIMIT – INTAKE LANE, WOOLLEY (AMENDMENT)
The Council of the City of Wakefield proposes to make the above order under its powers in the Road Traffic Act 1984, the effect of which, in
relation to Intake Lane, Woolley will be to:-
Introduce an experimental 20mph speed limit along Intake Lane, Woolley
If you wish to examine the proposed Order you can view a copy on the website www.wakefield.gov.uk/tro. It does include a copy of the
Experimental Order, together with a map showing the affected roads and the Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Experimental Order. If
you have any queries regarding the Experimental Order, please email trafficregs@wakefield.gov.uk
The experiment will become operative on 15th March 2024 and will run until 9th May 2025 However, the experiment can be discontinued at
any time during this period should it be considered appropriate to do so.
Observations will be undertaken to assess the effectiveness of the proposals against the objectives and any potential impact on neighbouring streets. If these objectives are demonstrated, the Order may be made
permanent. Representations for or against the proposals may
be made to the Council within 6 months of the date upon which the Experimental Order comes into force. Should the Council wish to pursue
making the Experimental Order permanent, any representations against the proposals would be treated as objections and considered by The
Service Director Communities, Environment and Climate Change.
If you wish to object to the proposed Experimental Order you should send the grounds for your objection in writing or email to
