TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND RESTRICTIONS OF VARIOUS ROADS FOR CHELTENHAM RACECOURSE EVENTS TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT
(VARIOUS WARDS) CHELTENHAM BOROUGH AND TEWKESBURY BOROUGH Gloucestershire County Council has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the lengths of roads as detailed in the Schedules below.
SCHEDULE 1 - One Way/ Tidal Flow System

SCHEDULE 10 – WARDS AND PARISHES
The Roads described in Schedules 1 to 7 fall into the Parishes of Prestbury and Swindon of Cheltenham Borough; the Wards of Battledown, Charlton Park, College, Pittville, Swindon Village, Cleeve Grange, Cleeve West and Cleeve Hill of Cheltenham Borough; and Parishes of Bishops Cleeve and Southam of Tewkesbury Borough.
Please note that other roads may be affected at the discretion of the police to aid the safe passage of traffic.
The reason for the closures and restrictions is to manage traffic during major events at Cheltenham Racecourse.
The roads are expected to be closed and restricted at certain times between the 11th March 2024 and 1st January 2025. The Jockey Club will provide at least 28 days notice to Gloucestershire County Council for any such event. It is likely that it will be predominately in use from 12th March 2024 to 15h March 2024 and 8th November 2024 to 10th November 2024 and also 1st January 2025. The presence of approved signage will indicate whether the restrictions are in place.

TEMPORARY OVERNIGHT CLOSURE OF A417 GLOUCESTER ROAD (HARTPURY & CORSE PARISHES) FOREST OF DEAN DISTRICT
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the A417 Gloucester Road from its junction with the B4211 Worcester Road to its junction with the 3/69 Corsend Road for a distance of approximately 2 kilometres.
The reason for the closure is carriageway resurfacing works.

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, has made an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the B4063 London Road from its junction with Cheltenham Road to its junction with Estcourt Road for a distance of approximately 232 metres.
The reason for the closure is for Severn Trent Water repair works.

Gloucestershire County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the C215 Upton Lane Road,from its junction with Bondend Road to its junction with Kennett Gardens, for a distance of approximately 55 metres.
The reason for the closure is for desilting works.

The reason for the closures and restrictions is for resurfacing works.
There will be no waiting and no loading permitted throughout the duration of the works.
The roads are expected to be closed and restricted during various times on a rolling programme commencing 15th March 2024 where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures and restrictions are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the closure/restrictions taking effect. This order can permit the closure and restriction of the roads in any order, or simultaneously as required and it is anticipated all works will be completed by 2nd April 2024.
