What is happening?
Highways
Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
SWALE AREA
BAGSHILL ROAD, THROWLEY. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JANUARY 2024
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Bagshill Road, Throwley, on or after 31st January 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Glebe Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Parsonage Stocks Road, Wilgate Green Road, Throwley Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
ELM LANE, MINSTER-ON-SEA, ME12 3S (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024
To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Elm Lane, Minster-on-Sea, on or after 12th February 2024, for up to 7 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Boerers Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Elm Lane, Drake Avenue, Scocles Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
SCHOOL LANE, IWADE. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024
To allow replacement pole works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of School Lane, Iwade, on or after 13th February 2024, for up to 2 days, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with Basser Hill, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Ferry Road, Sheppey Way, Stickfast Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
THE STREET, BORDEN, ME9 8JQ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JANUARY 2024
To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of The Street, Borden, on or after 29th January 2024, for up to 9 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Homestead, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Pond Farm Road, Sutton Baron Road, Wrens Road, Hearts Delight, Bannister Hill and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
TUNSTALL ROAD, TUNSTALL, ME10 1YZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024
To allow tree cutting works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Tunstall Road, Tunstall, on or after 12th February 2024, for up to 2 days, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Amberville, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
This closure is in conjunction with two-way traffic lights on Tunstall Road and Cranbrook Drive.
The alternative route is via Woodstock Road, Gore Court Road, Park Road, West Street, London Road, Borden Lane, Bannister Hill, Hearts Delight, Hearts Delight Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
WARDEN ROAD, EASTCHURCH. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JANUARY 2024
To allow pole works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Warden Road, Eastchurch, on or after 29th January 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction with First Avenue, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for this closure, however, residential access will be maintained at all times when it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
WATER LANE, OSPRINGE, ME13 0EP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Water Lane, Ospringe, on or after 13th February 2024, for up to one day, between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of the water pumping station, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Painters Forstal Road, Eastling Road, Whitehill, Brogdale Road, A2 London Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
WISES LANE, BORDEN, ME10 1YJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER FEBRUARY 2024
To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Wises Lane, Borden, on or after 15th February 2024, for up to 14 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Grove Park Avenue and Cherry Fields, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Wises Lane, The Street, Borden Lane, London Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
