Godstone Road (A22) Whyteleafe Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 17 January 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Godstone Road (A22) Whyteleafe which extends from its junction with B270 Hillbury Road, to the boundary of Surrey County Council with the London Borough of Croydon; and (b) revoke “Various Roads in the District of Tandridge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2022” insofar as it relates to the length of Godstone Road as specified in sub-paragraph (a) above only. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate surface dressing and prepatching works, which is anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 19 January 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Rusper Road (C59) Newdigate Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 17 January 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Rusper Road (C59) Newdigate which extends from its junction with Dukes Drive, southwards for a distance of 400m; and (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council Various Roads in the District of Mole Valley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2022” insofar as it relates to Rusper Road only. This Order is required to enable BT to facilitate pole replacement works which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 22 January 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure and suspension of the Order will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. Alternative Route – Rusper Road, Village Street, Parkgate Road and Partridge Lane or vice versa.
Tandridge Hill Lane (C73) Godstone and The Platt (D415) Dormansland Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 17 January 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the that length of (a) Tandridge Hill Lane (C73) Godstone as it extends from its junction with (A25) Oxted Road Northwards for a distance of 600 metres. Alternative Route – A25 Oxted Road; Flower Lane; Gangers Hill; and Tandridge Hill Lane; and (b) The Platt (D415) Dormansland as extends from its junction with (T10060) The Platt, also known as Public Footpath 393b Dormansland to a point in line with the common boundary between No.15 and No.16 View Terrace, The Platt. Alternative Route – via the eastern and southern arms of The Platt. This Order, which will commence on 24 January 2024 for a period of 12 months is required because works are being, or are proposed to be, executed on or near the said roads, to be carried out by or on behalf of BT Openreach, including but not limited to: overhead fibre cabling and/or overhead utility cabling underground cabling and/or telecoms utility repair and/ or maintenance works. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. For part (a) works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm commencing 24 January 2024. For part (b) works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm commencing 031 January 2024. Access for residents, the emergency services, pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Tanhouse Road (D423 Oxted Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 17 January 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Tanhouse Road (D423 Oxted. Alternative Route – Hall Hill; Beadles Lane; High Street; A25 Godstone Road/West Hill/East Hill; and Woodhurst Lane. The Order is required to allow telecoms utility repair and/or maintenance works to be carried out by, or on behalf of BT Openreach within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 1 day between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 24 January 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, the emergency services, pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times via operatives on site.
Red Lane (C85) Limpsfield Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 17 January 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Red Lane (C85) Limpsfield is crossed by the rail over road bridge numbered “SCU1 526” also known as the “Red Lane Railway Bridge” and for a distance of 20 metres to each side. Alternative Route – Red Lane; Pollards Wood Road; Pollards Oak Road; Hurstlands; Greenhurst Lane; Hurst Green Road; Holland Road; Merle Common Road; and Red Lane. The Order is required to allow telecoms installation works and/or bridge inspection works and/or bridge maintenance works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Network Rail within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 1 Night between the hours of 10pm and 6am within the 18-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 23 January 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for the emergency services, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times via operatives on site, all other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected.
Coldharbour Lane (D289) Dorking Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 17 January 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Coldharbour Lane (D289) Dorking as extends from a point approximately 50 metres north east of its junction with the access to the properties known as “Chadhurst Lodge”, “Brookmead Cottage” and “Chadhurst Farm” southwestwards for a distance of approximately 250 metres. Alternative Routes – (1) Coldharbour Lane; Falkland Road; Vincent Lane; Westcott Road; Guildford Road; Coast Hill; Guildford Road; Hollow Lane; Abinger Lane; Leith Hill Road; Abinger Road; and Coldharbour Lane; and (2) Coldharbour Lane; Abinger Road; Leith Hill Road; Abinger Lane; Hollow Lane; Guildford Road; Coast Hill; Guildford Road; Wetcott Road; West Street; South Street; Falkland Road; and Coldharbour Lane. The Order is required to allow overhead cabling works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of BT Openreach within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 1 day between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 22 January 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, the emergency services, pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times via operatives on site.
A245 Randalls Road, Leatherhead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: – 1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of: – a) A245 Randalls Road, Leatherhead that extends from the eastern side of its junction with Old Station Approach, to the western side of “Randalls Road Railway Bridge”. b) D2643 Station Approach, Leatherhead that extends from its junction with A245 Randalls Road, for a distance of 50m. c) A245 Station Approach Road, Leatherhead that extends from its junction with A245 Randalls Road, for a distance of 50m.
2. Suspend “The Surrey County Council A245 Randalls Road, Leatherhead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” in its entirety. This Traffic Order is required by TMO Highways to enable Plowman Craven to carry out underground surveying and/or highway improvement and/or maintenance works at the junction of A245 Randalls Road, A245 Station Approach Road and D2643 Station Approach, Leatherhead. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8pm and 6am, within 4 nights of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 19 February 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Eastwick Drive (D2558) Bookham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Eastwick Drive (D2558) Bookham as extends from its junction with (D2595) Richmond Way to its junction with (D265) Lower Road; and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Eastwick Drive (D2558) Bookham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” in its entirety. Alternative Route: Eastwick Drive, Eastwick Park Avenue and Lower Road or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate installation of underground service cable works for, or on behalf of UKPN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 12 February 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Wonham Lane (D310) Betchworth Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Wonham Lane (D310) Betchworth as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Wonham Hill” south-eastwards for a distance of 150 metres; and (b) suspend “The Surrey County Council D310 Wonham Lane Betchworth and D310 Trumpets Hill Road Reigate Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a) to this Notice. Alternative Route – Trumpets Hill Road; Flanchford Road; Tapners Road; Snowerhill Rad; and Wonham Lane. The Order is required to allow new mains water connection and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of SES Water within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 5 days between the hours of 8.30am and 5pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 12 February 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All vehicular traffic including residents and the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
Hanworth Road (D1291) Redhill Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Hanworth Road (D1291) Redhill which extends from its junction with A23 Horley Road, westwards for a distance of 20m. This Order is required to enable A and C Traffic Safety Solutions to facilitate service installation/civils works, which is anticipated to be completed within 11 days, between 8am and 6pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 6 February 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.as will access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties, will not be maintained due to the nature of the works. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises, including emergency service vehicle access, within the length of road above or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising. Alternative Route 1 – Woodhatch Road, Tollgate Avenue, Horley Road and vice versa. Alternative Route 2 – Horley Road, Maple Road, Woodhatch Road and vice versa.
Westerham Road (D476) Westerham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic (including pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians) from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Westerham Road (D476) Westerham (service road). This Order is required to enable Marjen Ltd to facilitate mobile telecommunication works, which is anticipated to be completed within 2 days, between 8am and 6pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 7 February 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises for emergency service vehicles will be maintained at all times. Access for all other traffic will not be maintained due to the nature of the works, however no sole means of access will be affected. Alternative Route – Westerham Road.
Station Road (A245) Leatherhead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of the westbound ahead only lane of Station Road (A245) Leatherhead as extends from its junction with the exit access point from Station Road Public Car Park westwards for a distance of 50 metres. Alternative Route – Waterway Road (Southbound); Roundabout at Waterway Road; and Waterway Road (Northbound); and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Station Road (A245) Leatherhead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” insofar as it affects that length of road specified and descrived in part (a) to this Notice. The Order is required to facilitate underground surveying and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of Plowman Craven within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 5 nights between the hours of 8pm and 6am within the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commences on 12 February 2024. Townpath – Wheelers Lane (T10007) Smallfield (also known as Public Footpath No. 492 Burstow) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Townpath – Wheelers Lane (T10007) Smallfield (also known as Public Footpath No. 492 Burstow).
Alternative Route –(1) Weatherhill Road, Redehall Road and Wheelers Lane; or (2) Weatherhill Road, Broadbridge Lane and Wheelers Lane.
This Order, which will commence on 09 February 2024 for a period of 6 months is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the said roads, to be carried out by or on behalf of Surrey County Council, including but not limited to: highway improvement scheme works and/or carriageway resurfacing works and/or raised table construction works and/or raised table improvement works and/or signage installation works and/or major highway maintenance works. Works are anticipated to be completed as soon as possible over 12 weeks within the 6 month operational period of this Order. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access for through traffic through the closure area whilst works are in progress and all through traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected.
Lumley Road (D351) Horley and Delamere Road (D1297) Reigate Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in (a) that length of Lumley Road (D351) Horley as extends from its junction with (D353) High Street north-westwards for a distance of 130 metres. Alternative Route – High Street; Yattendon Road; Oakwood Road; A23 Brighton Road; and Lumley Road or this same route in reverse; and (b) that length of Delamere Road (D1297) Reigate as extends from its junction with the access to No.2 Delamere Road to its junction with the access to No.4 Delamere Road. The Order is required to allow new mains water connection and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of SES Water within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over 5 days between the hours of 8am and 5pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 12 February 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All vehicular traffic including residents and the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
Outwood Lane (B2032) Chipstead and Waterhouse Lane (B2032) Kingswood Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Outwood Lane (B2032) Chipstead as extends from its junction with (D1151) Castle Road to its junction with (B2032) Waterhouse Lane; and (b) Waterhouse Lane (B2032) Kingswood as extends from its junction with (B2032) Outwood Lane to its junction with (D1114) Furze Hill. Alternative Route: (B2032) Bonsor Drive, (A217) Brighton Road, (B2219) Garratts Lane, (B2219) Holly Lane, (B2219) Lower Park Road, and (B2032) Outwood Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate refreshment of road marking works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 night between the hours of 8pm and 5am within 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 12 February 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed; and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) How Lane (D1080) Chipstead as extends from its junction with (D1079) Hollymead Road to its junction with the access to the property known “Woodland Deer Stock Farm”; and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council How Lane (D1080) Chipstead Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2023” in its entirety. Alternative Route: (B2032) Chipstead Valley Road, Portnalls Road, and Hollymead Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate overhead structural telecom works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 1 day between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 February 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Dene Street (D2813) Dorking Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Dene Street (D2813) Dorking as extends from its junction with (A25) High Street to its junction with (D2834) Heath Hill; and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Dene Street (D2813) Dorking Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” in its entirety. Alternative Route: Dene Street, Chart Lane, (A24) Deepdene Avenue, (A25) Reigate Road, and (A25) High Street or this route in reverse. This Order is required to carry out sewer cleaning works for, or on behalf of Thames Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 nights between the hours of 10pm and 5.30am, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 12 February 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Extension to “The Surrey County Council C84 Beadles Lane and C84 High Street, Oxted Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023”
“The Surrey County Council C84 Beadles Lane and C84 High Street, Oxted. Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” which was made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, on the grounds that works were being or were proposed to be executed on, or near, the above mentioned roads and came in to operation on 30 January 2023, was due to expire on 29 January 2024 and which closed to vehicular traffic: – a) The entire length of C84 Beadles Lane, Oxted. Alternative route – Hall Hill, Southlands Lane, Tandridge Lane and A25 Godstone Road. b) That length of C84 High Street, Oxted that extends from its junction with C84 Beadles Lane, for a distance of 50m. Alternative route – C84 High Street: A25 Godstone Road, C84 Godstone Road and C84 Beadles Lane; has been extended by Surrey County Council until 29 July 2024.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Southern Gas Networks to carry out gas mains replacement and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm, as soon as possible within the additional 6 month period of operation of this Temporary Traffic Order which commenced on 30 January 2023. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures which are anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
