NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN
that the Nottinghamshire
County Council intends not
less than seven days from the
date of this Notice to make an
Order, under Section 14(1) of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984, as amended, in respect
of roads at Mapperley and
Gedling in the Borough of
Gedling.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited
from proceeding in the lengths
of road as listed in paragraph 3.
2. Vehicles are prohibited
from waiting, loading and
unloading (both sides, 20:00-
06:00) in the lengths of road as
listed in paragraph 3.
3.
a. Westdale Lane West,
Mapperley - from its junction
with Oakleigh Avenue to its
junction with Holyoake Road
b. Westdale Lane West,
Gedling - from its junction with
Holyoake Road to its junction
with Cavendish Road
c. Oakleigh Avenue,
Mapperley - from its junction
with Westdale Lane West,
Mapperley in a south-westerly
direction for a distance of 10
metres
d. Holyoake Road, Gedling -
from its junction with Westdale
Lane West, Mapperley in a
north-easterly direction for a
distance of 10 metres
e. Blenheim Avenue,
Mapperley - from its junction
with Westdale Lane West,
Gedling in a south-westerly
direction for a distance of 10
metres
f. Unity Crescent, Gedling -
from its junction with Westdale
Lane West, Gedling in a northeasterly
direction for a distance
of 10 metres
g. Elmhurst Avenue,
Mapperley - from its junction
with Westdale Lane West,
Gedling in a south-westerly
direction for a distance of 10
metres
4. All existing permanent
restrictions will be temporarily
suspended as required.
5. The restrictions specified
above shall only be in effect
when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the
prohibitions respecting the
above road or roads will apply
as follows:
From 20:00 hours on Monday
29th January 2024
Until 06:00 hours on Saturday
10th February 2024
Working hours: 20:00-06:00
hours Monday - Friday
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY
FURTHER GIVEN that during
the period of restriction the
alternative route available
will be:
B684 Plains Road, B684
Mapperley Plains, Arnold Lane,
Main Road, Westdale Lane
East and vice-versa
The Order will come into force
on 29th January 2024 and any
prohibition in it shall apply on
that day and any subsequent
day when necessary to enable
works to be carried out. The
Order shall continue in force
until the works are completed
(within a maximum period of 18
months).
The prohibition is required
to enable Via East Midlands
on behalf of Nottinghamshire
County Council to carry out
carriageway maintenance and
zebra crossing works.
