What is happening?
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U6500 GROSVENOR YARD, NEWMARKET
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U6500 Grosvenor Yard, Newmarket from the junction with the A1304 for 30 metres northbound to facilitate assisting with water cover repairs on the A1304. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Grosvenor Yard, Fitzroy Street, Black Bear Lane, the A1304 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 11pm on 16/01/2024 - 5am on 17/01/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Anglian Water Services. Tel: 0345 714 5145.
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2243 SERPENTINE ROAD, IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U2243 Serpentine Road, Ipswich from Rydal Walk for 60 metres westbound to facilitate the installation of new low voltage electricity cables. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Beatty Road, Nansen Road, Rydal Walk and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 16/01/2024 -19/01/2023 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to TMO Highways Limited. Tel: (01379) 676462.
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U4337 COPDOCK INTERCHANGE, PINEWOOD
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U4337 Copdock Interchange, Pinewood from the fast-food restaurant for 30 metres eastbound to facilitate a water meter exchange. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Copdock Interchange and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 6pm on 25/01/2024 until 6.30am on 26/01/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to TBF Traffic. Tel: (01449) 490865.
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A1088 WOOLPIT ROAD, NORTON
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the A1088 Woolpit Road, Norton from 112 metres south of the junction with Heath Road and The Street for 20 metres southbound to facilitate a new water supply. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the A14, the A134, the A143 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 16/01/2024 -18/01/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to TBF Traffic. Tel: (01449) 490865.
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C429 BEYTON ROAD, DRINKSTONE
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C429 Beyton Road, Drinkstone from Street Farm for 40 metres westbound to facilitate electrical connection works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Beyton Road, Drinkstone Road, Quaker Lane, The Street, The Green, Manor Road, Bury Road, Church Road, Felsham Road, Rattlesden Road, Gedding Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 16/01/2024 -19/01/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Highway Safety Management. Tel: (01473) 554385.
TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY TRAFFIC ON PART OF THE A131 GIRLING STREET, SUDBURY
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the A131 Girling Street, Sudbury from no. 46 for 30 metres south eastbound to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the A131, the A134, theA131,the B1115 and vice versa.
For the duration of this closure there will be a suspension of the one-way provision on the A131 Girling Street, Sudbury to allow access and egress.
It is intended that these measures will operate from 7pm on 25/01/2024 - 6am on 26/01/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to TBF Traffic. Tel: (01449) 490865.
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U8639 CATS LANE, SUDBURY
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U8639 Cats Lane, Sudbury from the junction with Hillside Road for 35 metres south westbound to facilitate the installation of a foul sewer and power network apparatus. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion routes will be:
- Southbound: the A131, the B1508 and no vice versa
- Northbound: the B1508, Ingrams Well Road, the A131 and no vice versa.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE THRANDESTON, C567 GREAT GREEN
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C567 Great Green, Thrandeston from 685 metres west of the junction with Thrandeston Road for 50 metres westbound to facilitate a power line replacement. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Great Green, Dairy Farm Road, the A143 and vice versa.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3608 SPRING LANE, UFFORD
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U3608 Spring Lane, Ufford from the junction with Loudham Lane for 160 metres north westbound to facilitate fibre optic works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Barrack Lane, The Avenue, High Street and vice versa.
