What is happening?

WAKEFIELD COUNCIL

(SPEED LIMIT) (NO 4) ORDER 2023 VARIOUS ROADS IN SOUTH HIENDLEY, HEMSWORTH, HAVERCROFT AND FELKIRK

The Council of the City of Wakefield proposes to make the above order under its powers in the Road Traffic Act 1984, the effect of which, in relation to roads at South Hiendley, Hemsworth,

Havercroft and Felkirk will be to:-

1.   Revoke and re-enact the existing 40mph speed restriction along a length of Robin Lane, South Hiendley to correct an anomaly with the existing speed restriction.

2.   Revoke and re-enact the existing 40mph speed restriction along a length of Brier Lane, South Hiendley.

3.   To introduce a 30mph speed restriction along lengths of the following roads

•    Tup Lane, Havercroft
•    High Well Hill Lane, South Hiendley (part)
•    Kirkgate Lane, South Hiendley(part)
•    Westoff Lane, Havercroft

4.  To introduce a 40mph speed restriction along lengths of the following roads

•    B6428 Hall Field Lane, Havercroft
•    B6428 Lund Hill Lane, Havercroft
•    Brier Lane, Havercroft (part)
•    Brierley Road, South Hiendley (part)
•    Church Lane, Havercroft (part)
•    High Well Hill Lane, South Hiendley (part)
•    Kirkgate Lane, South Hiendley (part)
•    Raven Lane, Felkirk
•    Robin Lane, Hemsworth
•    Sandybridge Lane, Felkirk (part)
•    Slack Lane, South Hiendley
•    Ten Lands Lane, Havercroft

It does include copies of plans showing the proposed changes to the road as well as a Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order.  If you have any queries regarding the order, please email  trafficregs@wakefield.gov.uk

If you wish to object to the proposed Order, you should send the grounds for your objection in writing or by email to trafficregs@wakefield.gov.uk to reach the undersigned by not later than 12 noon on 21st December 2023 quoting reference SLO/23/4.
