What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 - KIRKLEES COUNCIL
(FORGE LANE, NORRISTHORPE, LIVERSEDGE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Forge Lane, Norristhorpe from its junction with Milton Drive to its junction with Norristhorpe Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Milton Drive, Milton Gardens, Milton Avenue, Milton Road, Norristhorpe Lane and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 23rd October 2023 and remain in force until 25th October 2023 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(WESTROYD AVENUE, CLECKHEATON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Westroyd Avenue, Cleckheaton from a point outside property no. 27 to a point outside property no. 26 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the unaffected length of Westroyd Avenue, Hunsworth Lane and vice versa. It is intended that the closure will operate on Friday, 27th October 2023 only (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(PUBLIC FOOTPATHS SPE/177 & SPE/178, CLECKHEATON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the footpath intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the following lengths of Public Footpath in Cleckheaton: as follows:SPE/177 & 178 - from Kenmore Drive to Milton Terrace - from Kenmore Drive to Rooks Avenue - from Kenmore View to Milton Terrace - from Kenmore View to Rooks Avenue PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to persons carrying out the proposed works.
Alternative routes for persons affected by the closure will be available via Milton Terrace, Vine Street, Whitcliffe Road, Kenmore Road, Kenmore Drive, Kenmore View, Kenmore Avenue, Rooks Avenue and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 23rd October 2023 and remain in force until 22nd April 2024 (any further extension will require the permission of the Secretary of State).
(STAINCLIFFE ROAD, DEWSBURY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Staincliffe Road, Dewsbury from its junction with Heckmondwike Road to its junction with Boothroyd Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road Dated this 05 October 2023. or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via the following routes:-
Diversion 1 - Heckmondwike Road, Knowles Hill Road, Staincliffe Road; Diversion 2 - Boothroyd Lane, Ashworth Road, Wormald Street, Central Street, High Street, Cemetery Road.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday, 10th October 2023 and remain in force until 11th October 2023 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(WEST STREET/GROVE LANE/REFORM STREET, GOMERSAL, CLECKHEATON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of road in Gomersal, Cleckheaton:-
West Street - from its junction with Grove Lane to its junction with Cliffe Lane
Grove Lane - from its junction with Oxford Road to its junction with Latham Lane
Reform Street - from its junction with Grove Lane to its termination point
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Latham Lane, West Lane, Oxford Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 9th October 2023 and remain in force until 23rd October 2023 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(BRUNSWICK STREET, BATLEY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Brunswick Street, Batley from its junction with Commercial Street to its junction with Hanover Street PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will not be maintained. Alternative routes for vehicles and pedestrians affected by the closure will be available via Commercial Street, Wards Hill, Hanover Street and vice versa. It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 9th October 2023 and remain in force until 1st December 2023 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
(HALL LANE, THORNHILL, DEWSBURY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road has made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Hall Lane, Thornhill from a point outside property no. 81 to a point outside Fieldhead Court Nursing and Residential Home PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
There is no alternative diversionary route available. Access maintained for residents and Emergency Service Vehicles only. It is intended that the closure will commence on Thursday, 12th October 2023 and remain in force until 13th October 2023 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
