What is happening?

DUDLEY METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL 

(TEMPORARY PARKING RESTRICTIONS & ROAD CLOSURE) (FLAVELL AVENUE, NORTON CRESCENT, PHILIP STREET, GEORGE ROAD, SEAGULL BAY DRIVE, PEMBERTON ROAD, DIMMOCKSAVENUE, PERIVALE GROVE, AND MINITH ROAD, COSELEY) ORDER 2023 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council intends to make a temporary Order to safely facilitate the carriageway surfacing works on Flavell Avenue, Norton Crescent, Philip Street, George Road, Seagull Bay Drive, Pemberton Road, Dimmocks Avenue, Perivale Grove and Minith Road, Coseley. The effects of which will be to prohibit: - (a) the waiting, loading, or unloading vehicles; (b) all vehicles from entering or proceeding; on Flavell Avenue, Coseley at the junction with Summer Hill Road; Norton Crescent, Coseley at the junction with Summer Hill Road; Philip Street, Coseley at the junction with Summer Hill Road; George Road, Coseley at the junction with Summer Hill Road; Seagull Bay Drive, Coseley at the junction with Summer Hill Road; Pemberton Road, Coseley at the junction with Bradleys; Dimmocks Avenue, Coseley at the junction with Bradleys; Perivale Grove, Coseley at the junction with Bradleys and Minith Road, Coseley at the junction with Bradleys, at such times and extent when prescribed traffic signs are being displayed. The Order will apply at 09:30 hours on Thursday 23rd March 2023. It is anticipated that the works will be completed by 14:30 hours on Tuesday 28th March 2023. The Order will remain valid for a maximum duration of 18 months to allow for unexpected events, or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. Vehicular traffic will be managed on site during the short-term closures. Exemptions would be provided for: - a. anything done with the permission or at the direction of a civil enforcement officer in uniform; b. emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order; c. any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works.
