HACKNEY CARRIAGE AND PRIVATE HIRE LICENCE FEES
NOTICE is hereby given that Warrington Borough Council, in exercising of its powers pursuant to Section 70 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976, has determined that the fees charged for the licensing of Hackney and Private Hire Vehicles/Drivers and Operators licences are proposed as detailed below between 1st April, 2026 - 31st March 2027.
Driver Licence
New licence application — 1 year — £170.00
New licence application — 3 year — £260.00
Renewal of licence – 1 year — £164.00
Renewal of licence – 2 year — £226.00
Renewal of licence – 3 year — £247.00
Private Hire Vehicle Licence:
New application — £267.00
With wheelchair accessible discount — £184.00
Renewal application — £257.00
With wheelchair accessible discount — £174.00
Additionally Conditioned Private Hire Vehicle Licence:
New application — £355.00
Renewal application — £344.00
Hackney Carriage Vehicle Licence:
New application — £296.00
Renewal application — £286.00
1 year Operator Licence:
1 vehicle — £109.00
2–5 vehicles — £191.00
6–15 vehicles — £245.00
16–30 vehicles — £274.00
31–60 vehicles — £383.00
61–100 vehicles — £492.00
101+ vehicles — £956.00
5 year Operator Licence:
1 vehicle — £497.00
2–5 vehicles — £655.00
6–15 vehicles — £820.00
16–30 vehicles — £983.00
31–60 vehicles — £1,201.00
61–100 vehicles — £1,529.00
101+ vehicles — £2,075.00
Any person who wishes to make any objections or representations in respect of the proposal should do so in writing within 28 days from the date of publication of this Notice, to the Licensing Manager, Warrington Borough Council, Town Hall, East Annexe, Sankey Street, Warrington, Cheshire, WA1 1UH or e-mail taxiqueries@warrington.gov.uk.
