What is happening?
Official Notice
• Via Newbury Crescent, Melfort Road, Beulah Road, Norbury Avenue and London Road.
4. The Order will come into operation on 30 October 25, and it is anticipated that the work will be completed in one day. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
5. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) A vehicle involved in the said work.
(b) A vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
(c) Anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
6. The restrictions will only apply during such times and to such an extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.

BINGHAM ROAD & CLAREMONT ROAD, CROYDON
TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate kerb and footway works and the installation of a raised zebra crossing, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic movements and parking in Bingham Road and Claremont Road, Croydon.
2. Whilst the works are taking place:
a) Bingham Road will be closed between its junctions with Ashling Road and Baring Road.
b) Claremont Road will be closed at its junction with Bingham Road.
c) Parking within the closure area will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply at any time.
d) The footways in Bingham Road, between its junctions with Ashling Road and Baring Road, will be closed as necessary during the works.
3. The Order will come into operation on 15 November 2025, and it is anticipated that the works will be completed on 23 November 2025. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
4. Whilst the closure is in place the alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Lower Addiscombe Road, Shirley Road and reversed. Pedestrians affected by the footway closures will be directed to the opposite footway.
5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:
(a) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
(b) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.
(c) any vehicle involved in carrying out the specified works.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate gas main works on behalf of SGN, they intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicular traffic movements in Covington Way, Norbury.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place Covington Way will be closed between its junctions with Briar Avenue and Cedarville Gardens.
3. During the closure the alternative route for traffic will be via Briar Avenue, Green Lane, Strathbrook Road, and Cedarville Gardens.
4.The Order will come into operation on 17 November 2025, and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within 14 days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
5. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:
(a) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

ECCLESBOURNE ROAD, THORNTON HEATH
NOTICE OF TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF PARKING
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate HGV deliveries to a development site, they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict parking in Ecclesbourne Road.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place, yellow line waiting restrictions will apply on the south-east side of Ecclesbourne Road from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, and from 8am to 1pm on Saturdays, between the common boundary of Nos. 145 and 147 and the north-eastern boundary of No. 133 Ecclesbourne Road.
3. The Order will come into operation on 13 November 2025, and it is anticipated that the Order will remain in force for 18 months.
4. The restriction shall not apply in respect of:
(a) any vehicle involved in carrying out the said deliveries.
(b) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.

VIOLET LANE, CROYDON
NOTICE OF TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC & PARKING
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that to facilitate electric cable installation works by UKPN they intend to make an Order the effect of which would be to temporarily restrict traffic and parking in Violet Lane.
2. Whilst the said works are taking place Violet Lane will be closed in two phases as detailed below. Parking within the closure areas will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions will apply "at any time" in those sections of road.
a) Violet Lane between its junctions with Footpath 612 and Price Road – from 19 November to 06 December 2025.
b) Violet Lane between its junctions with Price Road and Warham Road – from 05 January to 22 January 2026.
3. During the closures the diversion routes for vehicular traffic will be as detailed below.
• Closure of Violet Lane between its junctions with Footpath 612 and Price Road: Diversion via Violet Lane, Denning Avenue and Hillside Road.
• Closure of Violet Lane between its junctions with Price Road and Warham Road: Diversion via Price Road, Hillside Road, and Denning Avenue.
4. The Order will come into operation on 19 November 2025, and it is anticipated that the work will be carried out as detailed above. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further work be required.
5. The restrictions shall not apply in respect of:
(a) a vehicle being used for fire brigade, ambulance, or police purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
(b) anything done with the permission of a police constable in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC ORDER
PLAY STREET CLOSURES – LIVINGSTONE ROAD,
THORNTON HEATH
1. Croydon Council, HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that they intend to make a Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order, the effect of which will be to close Livingstone Road, Thornton Heath, to vehicular traffic at the times and on the dates specified in the Schedule to this notice, to facilitate a play street.
2. During the dates and times specified in the Schedule to this notice no person shall cause any vehicle to enter or proceed in Livingstone Road, between its junctions with Layard Road and Mersham Road.
3. The provisions of the Order will not prevent access being maintained for residents, or pedestrians accessing any premises situated on or adjacent to any road to which this Order relates, or to any other premises accessible from, and only from, such a road.
4. Nothing in the Order shall apply:
a) to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.
b) to any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade, or ambulance purposes, or the purposes of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, such as the loss of supplies of gas, electricity, or water to premises in the area, which necessitates the bringing of vehicles into a section of road to which the order applies.
5. Whilst the closure is in force the alternative route for traffic will be via Layard Road and Moffat Road.
6. The Order will come into effect on 09 November 2025 and will be reintroduced at the times and on the dates specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
