What is planned?
RWE Grangemouth
Green Hydrogen Project
Second public consultation - we’d like your views
RWE’s proposed green hydrogen production facility at Grangemouth underscores our commitment to driving forward the hydrogen economy and contributing to Scotland’s decarbonisation goals. The green hydrogen will be produced from water and renewable energy and then fed via a pipeline for use by an adjacent offtaker, helping to reduce carbon emissions across the wider Grangemouth area.
Consultation event
Our second consultation runs f
rom
Monday 24 March to Monday 7 April 2025. On Wednesday 26 March, we are holding a public exhibition where you can view our plans and talk to the project team.
Once developed, consented and operational, the electrolyser will have a capacity of up to 100 MW. Having considered feedback from our first consultation and further developed our plans, we are again asking local people for their views on our proposals.
