Sandwell - Various Road Works

The Borough Council of Sandwell (Dudley Port, Tipton) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2024 intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Dudley Port, Tipton between Groveland Road and Tividale Street. Traffic will be diverted via Sedgley Road East, Dudley Road West, Tividale Road, New Birmingham Road and vice-versa. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to commence and be completed by 28/01/2024 (9.30am - 3.30pm only). The Borough Council of Sandwell (Walsall Canal Footpath Closure – Brickhouse Lane to Eagle Lane, Tipton) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2024 intends to temporarily prohibit pedestrians from proceeding via the footpath in Tipton which links Brickhouse Lane to Eagle Lane. A diversion route for pedestrians will be signed via Brickhouse Lane, Market Place, Great Western Way, New Road, Eagle Lane and vice-versa. The work is expected to be completed by 11/03/2024, effective from 29/01/2024. The Borough Council of Sandwell (Groveland Road and Latham Crescent, Tipton) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2024 intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following roads in Tipton:-

Groveland Road between Dudley Port and Damson Wharf: 29/01/2024 – 16/02/2024. Traffic will be diverted via Dudley Port, Tividale Street, Dudley Road West, and vice-versa and also via Dudley Port, Sedgley Road East, Cleton Street and vice-versa.

Latham Crescent at the point of its junction with Coneygree Road: 05/02/2024 and 22/02/2024. Traffic will be diverted via the southern entrance to Latham Crescent and vice-versa.

The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 22/02/2024 effective from 29/01/2024. Purpose – to facillitate works to replace a gas main by Cadent Gas Ltd. The Borough Council of Sandwell (Grove Lane, Smethwick) (Temporary No Left Turn Ban) Order 2024 intends to temporarily prohibit vehicles from turning left from Grove Lane (eastbound) to the access road for the Midland Metropolitan Hospital. Traffic diversion routes will be signed on Grove Lane for the access of construction site vehicles only. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 01/03/2024 effective from 29/01/2024 (24hr). Purpose – to provide safe access for construction site vehicles to the Midland Metropolitan Hospital.
