Winckworth Way, Temporary Road Closure Due To Bridge Inspection Works

Somerset Council Parish of Taunton Temporary Closure of Winckworth Way

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Winckworth Way -from 50 metres south of the junction with Obridge Lane, southwards for a total distance of 33 metres. This Order will enable Xeiad to carry out bridge inspection works on behalf of Network Rail.

The Order becomes effective on 17th July 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 21st July 2025 and last until 22nd July 2025 between the hours of 22:30 - 06:00 for a total of 1 night. There is no alternative route for this closure.
