Final Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:

Shiplate Road, Bleadon, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming Into Force: 7 July 2025

Ref: SW25.26-035

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to clear fibre blockages. This order will become operative on the 7 July 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of three days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Banwell Road, Hutton Hill, Hutton North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming Into Force: 8 September 2025

Ref: SW25.26-061

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to clear fibre blockages. This order will become operative on the 8 September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the phased works which is anticipated to be of five days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures for each phase are in force.

Schedule – Banwell Road and Hutton Hill in phases from the side of 27 Hillside West to outside 1 Windmill Hill

Barton Road, Winscombe North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming Into Force: 8 September 2025

Ref: SW25.26-067

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to provide overhead cabling. This order will become operative on the 8 September 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of six hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm.

Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

NOTICE OF MAKING

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

North Somerset Council, (Speed Limit Restrictions, North Somerset) Consolidation Order 2024 (Variation No.4) Order 2025

Ref: SLTR/DB/2503

Notice is hereby given that on the 19 June 2025 North Somerset Council made the following order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of the order was to amend the North Somerset Council Speed Limit Restrictions, North Somerset Consolidation Order 2024 to include 20mph hour speed limit to roads within Congresbury.

The order will come into operation on the 27 June 2025 and copies of the order may be inspected by appointment at:

North Somerset Council, Castlewood, Tickenham Road, Clevedon, BS21 6FW

Any person who desires to question the validity of, or of any provision contained in the order on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, or on the grounds that any of the relevant requirements of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, may within six weeks after the date on which the order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
