Notice of Public Path Order

Town and Country Planning Act 1990, section 257

North Somerset District Council

Part of Public Footpath AX 5/30, Blagdon Water Recycling Centre, Blagdon

Public Path Diversion Order No.1 2025

The above Order, made on 17 April 2025, under section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, will divert part of Public Footpath AX 5/30 in the Parish of Blagdon within the District of North Somerset as described below: Part of AX 5/30 from point A (grid ref. ST 50061 60024) running in an easterly direction to point B (grid ref. ST 50092 60018) then running in a south easterly direction to point C (grid ref. ST 50147 59926) then running in a south easterly direction to point D (grid ref. ST 50164 59914) then running in a south westerly direction to point E (grid ref. ST 50158 59898). This route to be diverted is a total distance of approximately 175m. To a footpath from Point A (grid ref. ST 50061 60024) running in a general southerly direction to point F (grid ref. ST 50054 59999) then running in a south easterly direction to point C (grid ref. ST 50147 59926) then running in a south easterly direction to point E (grid ref. ST 50158 59898). This proposed route is a total distance of approximately 180m.

The proposal is shown on the Order Map No. PPO 213: the existing route is shown with a bold black line and the proposed route shown by bold black dashes. References to lettered points in this notice are references to the points marked on the Order Map. The footpath will have a width of 2m and a natural pasture surface as currently exists. Alternatively, visit Blagdon Post Office to view the Order and Order Map, at High Street, Blagdon BS40 7TQ, Monday to Sunday 8am to 8pm. Any representations about or objections to the Orders may be sent in writing to the Natural Environment Team, North Somerset Council, Town Hall, Weston-super-Mare BS23 1UJ not later than 26 June 2025 quoting reference PPO 213. Stating the grounds on which they are made. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, North Somerset District Council may confirm the Orders as unopposed Orders. If the Orders are sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation, any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Orders.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Section 14(1)

Final Notice of Temporary Traffic Regulation Order

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:

Footpaths Associated Blackberry Drive, Weston-super-Mare,

Temporary Prohibition of Use by All Traffic Order 2025

Date coming Into Force: 2 June 2025

Ref: SW24.25-363

Will be to close, temporarily, to all traffic the lengths of footpaths specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpath.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to install ducting. This order will become operative on the 2 June 2025 for a maximum period of six months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming Into Force: 9 June 2025

Ref: SW24.25-374

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wales & West Utilities to lay new service. This order will become operative on the 9 June 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 4 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming Into Force: 15 June 2025

Ref: SW24.25-376

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to safe access for pole replacement. This order will become operative on the 15 June 2025 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 8 hours in duration between 8am and 4pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.
