What is happening?

Temporary Closure of Fons George, Taunton

Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Fons George - from the junction with Wilton Orchard, northwards for a total distance of 106 metres. This Order will enable Wessex Water to carry out chamber alterations.

The Order becomes effective on 12th June 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 16th June 2025 and last until 18th June 2025 between the hours of 08:00 - 17:00 for a total of 3 days.
