Skimmerton Lane, Temporary Road Closure Due To Patching Works
What is happening?
Somerset Council Parishes of Wembdon and Durleigh Temporary Closure of Skimmerton Lane
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, propose to make an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along Skimmerton Lane - from the junction with Quantock Road to the junction with Spaxton Road. A total distance of 576 metres. This Order will enable Kiely Bros to carry out pre-surface dressing patching works on behalf of Somerset Highways. Solid diamond symbolization to be used on diversion route and will not clash with any other Kiely Bros works within the area.
The Order becomes effective on 29th April 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months. The works are expected to commence on 6th May 2025 and last until 9th May 2025 between the hours of 07:00 - 19:00 for a total of 4 days.
