NOTICE OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2025

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Stock Lane, Langford, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles and Cyclists

Date coming into force: 28 April 2025 — Ref: T25-07

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles and cyclists the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order is required because of highway drainage investigation works and will become operative on 28 April 2025, anticipated to be of 5 nights. The working and hours will be 8pm to 6am. The maximum period for the closure is 18 months, however, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works.

Schedule – Stock Lane, Langford from its junction with Brinsea Lane to its junction with Jubilee Lane.

Alternative routes – Stock Lane, Bypass, Bristol Road, Dinghurst Road, Skinners Lane, Front Street, Church Lane, North Road, Brinsea Batch, Brinsea Lane and vise-versa.

Footpath Tawny Way to Flamingo Crescent, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Pedestrians & Cyclists Order 2025

Date coming into force: 28 April 2025 – Ref: SW24.25-323

Will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians and cyclists the lengths of footpaths specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to undertake ducting works. This order will become operative on the 28 April 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 5 days in duration. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule – Footpath Tawny Way to Flamingo Crescent outside property number 1 Tawny Way.

Footpath Mead Vale to Starling Close, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Pedestrians Order 2025

Date coming into force: 29 May 2025 – Ref: SW24.25-354

Will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians the lengths of footpaths specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Emergency services are included for emergency services, works access and as works access and works for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpath.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to clear fibre blockages. This order will become operative on the 29 May 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 5 days in duration. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into force: 20 May 2025 – Ref: SW24.25-351

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach for ducting works. This order will become operative on the 20 May 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into force: 16 June 2025 – Ref: SW24.25-355

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to replace poles. This order will become operative on the 16 June 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

FINAL NOTICE OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2025

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:

Bleadon Hill, Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset

Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025

Date coming into force: 6 April 2025 – Ref: SW24.25-284

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Truespeed to clear blockages. This order will become operative on the 6 April 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 4 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Date coming into force: 6 April 2025 – Ref: SW24.25-289

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water for lead pipe replacement and separation of supply with cut off. This order will become operative on the 6 April 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 4 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration. Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by National Grid to change a pole. This order will become operative on the 9 April 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to undertake cabling works. This order will become operative on the 7 April 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by All Traffic Order 2025

Date coming into force: 7 April 2025 – Ref: SW24.25-301

Will be to close, temporarily, to all traffic including pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians the lengths of footpath specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpath.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wessex Water to install new twin sewer. This order will become operative on the 7 April 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 months in duration. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Temporary Prohibition of Use by All Traffic Order 2025

Date coming into force: 7 April 2025 – Ref: SW24.25-302

Will be to close, temporarily, to all traffic including Pedestrians, Cyclists & Equestrians the lengths of footpath specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpath.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wessex Water to construct a new twin sewer. This order will become operative on the 7 April 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 months in duration. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Proposed Option Agreement for the grant of Easements over the Strawberry Line

(to the south of Weston Road, Congresbury)

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council intends to enter into an Option Agreement for the grant of Easements over a length of approximately 1.67km of land within the Strawberry Line (to the south of Weston Road, Congresbury) for vehicular access and the laying of cables (in connection with a proposed solar farm on adjoining land). The Strawberry Line is used for public recreation.

A plan identifying the precise area and location of the subject land can be requested from and objections to the intended disposal can be addressed to Martin O’Neill, Senior Development & Asset Manager, North Somerset Council, Town Hall, Weston-super-Mare BS23 1UJ.
