ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) NOTICE OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2025

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Crookes Lane, Kewstoke, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025 Date coming into force: 7 May 2025 -Ref: SW24.25-330

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach for a pole replacement. This order will become operative on the 7 May 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Kewstoke Road, Kewstoke, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025 Date coming into force: 27 May 2025 - Ref: SW24.25-331

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by National Grid to erect poles in grass verge. This order will become operative on the 27 May 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 4 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force. Schedule - Kewstoke Road outside property numbers 92 to 110.

Drove Road, Weston-Super-Mare, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by All Traffic Order 2025 Date coming into force: 14 May 2025 - Ref: SW24.25-337

Will be to close, temporarily, to all traffic the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Cornerstone Telecommunications Infrastructure for Galliford Try to enable overhead telecoms works. This order will become operative on the 14 May 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 night in duration between 8pm and 6am. Appropriate traffic and pedestrian signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule - Drove Road at the roundabout between Hildesheim Bridge and Drove Road northbound on B3440 to opposite Bridge Road.

Methwyn Close, Weston-Super-Mare, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025 Date coming into force: 28 May 2025 - Ref: SW24.25-353

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to access carriageway boxes to provide service. This order will become operative on the 28 May 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Wrington Road, Congresbury, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2025 Date coming into force: 31 March 2025 - Ref: SW24.25-281

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to provide overhead cable. This order will become operative on the 31 March 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

FINAL NOTICE OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:

Locking Road, Walliscote Road, and Alexandra Parade, Weston-Super-Mare, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Pedestrians, Cyclists and Equestrians Order 2025 Date coming into force: 24 March 2025 - Ref: T25-06

Will be to close to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the schedule to this notice.

This order was required because of highway improvement works and will become operative on 24 March 2025 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works. It is anticipated the closures will be for 3 nights in duration between 8pm and 5am. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Schedule - Locking Road from its junction with Francis Fox Road to the junction of Regent Street and Walliscote Road. Walliscote Road from its junction with Locking Road to its junction with Oxford Street. Alexandra Parade from its junction with Locking Road to its junction with Alfred Street.

Alternative routes - Locking Road leading to Alexandra Parade: Locking Road, Ashcombe Road, Milton Road, Gerard Road, Boulevard, Alfred Street and vice versa. Locking Road leading to Walliscote Road: Francis Fox Road, Station Road, Walliscote Road, and vice versa.
